ATMOsphere America 2013 Summary Report now available
04 July 2013
Following the second successful ATMOsphere America event in June, shecco has now released an official conference report, summarising main presentations and informal discussions.
"ATMOsphere America 2013 was a great success with another full house of decision makers. The energy was very positive and the message was that natural refrigerants have an important role to play in North America over the coming years. ATMOsphere America will help drive this change", says Marc Chasserot, Chairman ATMOsphere America 2013, and Managing Director shecco.
The ATMOsphere America 2013 report, presenting the event’s key messages, clearly shows that there is a rapidly growing momentum behind natural refrigerants, with CO2 and hydrocarbons showing particular promise in the commercial and light commercial refrigeration sectors and new low charge ammonia systems being developed for industrial applications.
Participants heard from over 40 speakers who presented on the current state of the industry, the regulatory state-of-play, and latest natural refrigerant case studies. A series of panel sessions provided a varied mix of end user views, and opportunities to identify common threads that unify the different natural refrigerants, CO2, ammonia, and hydrocarbons.
The ATMOsphere America 2013 report summarises the key challenges to be overcome and opportunities to embrace, identified during the various conference sessions:
- State of the industry
- Supermarket end user panel
- Regulatory issues & standards
- Supply chain panel
- Industrial end user panel
- Technology case study sessions 1 & 2
Downloadable for free, shecco hopes that the conference report will help to bolster the market for natural refrigerants by providing information on the present and future availability of HFC-free technology solutions.
